The Onyria Quinta da Marinha Hotel has just joined the Hotel Employee Rate, an international network of independent hotels that offer exclusive discounts to hotel employees around the world. It is possible to enjoy discounts of up to 50% on the original rate, all it takes is for the employee of the associated hotel to register and make the reservation, the whole process being completely free.

Currently with more than 2500 associated hotel brands from over 75 countries from the United States to Australia, Brazil, Thailand and many other European destinations, this network is growing and there are already 19 hotels in Portugal that have joined the program.

Exclusive employee discounts are nothing new in the industry. The large international hotel chains already offer special conditions to their employees, but Hotel Employee Rate is the first to bring together a series of independent hotels and put them in contact, allowing employees to stay outside the group itself.

According to a press release, the Hotel Employee Rate “guarantees the total security of the process with password-protected access and the privacy of hotels and their employees”. Born by the hand of a group of executives in the hotel universe in 2020, in the midst of a pandemic, this network set itself the objective of rewarding employees in this industry, after a very difficult period for the entire base structure of the business. “It is a project in which we recognize ourselves, given that we also decided to reward our 247 employees of the group, by receiving them as guests for one night”, adds João Pinto Coelho, referring to the initiative of the Onyria Quinta da Marinha Hotel promoted at the beginning from 2022.
